Serum has been making some serious waves over the past 18 months, not only has he had releases on V Records, Fabio's Creative Source and Dread, he's also got his hands dirty remixing some absolute classics like Taxtix's 'It's The Way' and Stretch's classic 'Papa Lover'. Serum has single handily created a jungle revival within the Drum & Bass, making authentic jungle, with modern day production values, whilst managing to produce a sound which is unmistakeably his. 'Gutter Life' kicks off with some chilled out club ambience, a couple cheeky hip hop samples, before the sirens ring out and a gunshot signals the drop. Instantly we're skanking with a sliding bassline reminiscent of early Roni Size & DJ Die - tight snappy drums and plenty of funk to keep things rolling. Absolutely huge on dance floors all over with support from Dillinja, Hype, Bryan Gee, Twisted Individual and more! 'Basslick' is an eerie affair, with a spooked out intro, before Serum takes you way back to the jungle days with a big bashy old skool bassline that keeps stepping up a gear after every corner. Another massive dance flooor track that has been battered on dubplate for months and has been hotly anticipated online!
